Last week, the Global Phosphorus Institute hosted its first Stakeholdersβ Forum, bringing together the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA), ECOWAS Commission, International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC), AGRA, Africa Fertilizer Industry Development Association (AFIDA), the Joint FAO/International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Centre, African Plant Nutrition Institute (APNI), European Sustainable Phosphorus Platform (ESPP), International Fertilizer Association (IFA), Embrapa, the Coalition of Action for Soil Health (CA4SH), as well as members of GPIβs Scientific Committee.
A shared objective united them:
Put phosphorus at the center of the conversation β where it connects food security, soil health, climate resilience, and sustainable agriculture.
The day also marked the official launch of GPIβs Strategic Direction 2030, sending a clear message across the room: the conditions for partnership are in place. What matters now is delivery.
